Dear all,
Hope this letter reaches you in pink of your health!
While reading this letter, If you are sitting very comfortably on your couch, or lying on the bed, humming your favorite songs, with headphones on or attending your classes, or exploring your forgotten hobby, or even trying to inculcate a new one, if you are holding a paintbrush, or turning pages of your cherished author, passing days with the aroma of brewed coffee enjoying and embracing the change, we welcome you to our world.
In the pre- Covid era, you had no time to care for us, or even understand our struggles. Extroversion was a norm and was considered normal by you just because you people were overwhelmed by your boisterousness, and you have been ignoring the needs and power of introverts.
Thanks to the corona, that helped to match our personalities with work procedures and the environment!
More often, extroverts are associated with optimism, positive emotions, confidence, and introversion is linked with fear, nervousness, and shy wallflower, which is certainly not true!
The only difference is when most social butterflies like you complain of staying home, we retreat to a quiet place to think, reflect, and recharge. But it is disappointing that the world judges us based on our personalities!
Hope you understand the truth that socializing is hard for us like it is for you to spend time in solitude. Just because you judge us, we tried to become you and many of us have lost ourselves in that process. I believe this pandemic has given us time for experiencing and mutual understanding between us.
Next time, when you come across introverts please don’t judge them and remember that our world is as beautiful as yours!
Yours lovingly,
An Introvert
